Grab a Do-Band and get it done!
Thanks for visiting the Do-Band project. Do you have something that you keep thinking you should do, that is always on your to-do list, but you just never get to? Is it even more frustrating because it is something you think that you should do as well? Calling your family? Donating to charity? Apologizing to someone? These are good things…Grab a Do-Band and get them done!

The way it works
When you accept a Do-Band, you are promising to do that thing you’ve been putting off for so long. You must now wear the Do-Band until you fulfill your promise! Then you record your success here (no registration required), and pass the band on to another person so they can Do!

Virtual Do-Bands!
If you don’t have any rubber bands, send a Virtual Do-Band! Send them a link and tell them to pledge to Do something good.
To log your success, Search for "Virtual" and add a comment!

Already completed your promise? Ready to log your success?
Find your band number below (search for it using Control F or apple F), click on the thread, and add your success as a comment (no registration required). Then don’t forget to pass off the band to someone else. If you are feeling particularly joyous, send some Virtual Do-Bands as well.

Pass it on, each band will have a building story with each pass!

Pledge Ideas!
-Call your mom
-Apologize to someone
-Compliment someone
-Donate to charity
-Walk/bike to work
-Return a favor
-Help a stranger
-Forgive someone

I ate really healthy today... for the first time in a really long time. Totally necessary considering I'm sick. Thanks for giving me a reason!

I finished a problem set (by Tuesday!) that I routinely save for the night before (Thursday)

My students complained to me all day about being tired and unable to do work. The state literacy exam is next Tuesday and Wednesday. Despite their minor rebellion, I stuck with my plan and made them write an in-class essay and peer grade and provide feedback. Nobody was allowed to put their heads down that day.

I kissed my wife, deeply, with joy.

I showed love and commitment for my extended family specifically my cousin with whom I would like a deeper relationship.

How, I wore a band around my wrist until I filled out this form. Thus supporting a project I would not have normally taken the effort. I hate chain letters and the like because they are forced morality and filled with guilt.

No Guilt just Love

I committed to a personal goal. This band won’t come off till I’ve reached it!

I rode my bike out of the crazy traffic in Acapulco, Mexico today, and after checking my email in San Marcos and finding out about Do-Band, extended a warm ´buenos dias/tardes´ to EVERY one of the hundreds of people I crossed by on my long ride south! : )

Could you have one consolidated list of all of the "Dids" across all of the Do Bands? They are fun and inspiring to read.

This is such a great idea. You are geniuses!

For every birthday that I can remember, my aunt has sent me a gift and also called me to wish me a happy birthday. I have never called her though or sent her a gift during my adult life.

Yesterday I changed this behavior and I called her for the first time on her birthday, and explained my guilt and told her that I had never called her on her birthday before: that alone touched her more than anything else I said in the conversation.

Would you be willing to let us use your virtual bands to add to your idea.

Great creation of value!

We are doing an event associated with a fund raiser.

Please hit the g-mail account back if you are interested or willing.

This is for Doband 343-648 from the (original?) Doband.org group at Cornell University. I had pledged myself I would finally finish an article I'd been working on since 2005. I did it! It's done. Every time I got close to done there would be some other publication to come out that I would have to either incorporate into my article or refute. I finished. Manuscript is submitted and currently undergoing peer review.

I'm now starting to reconsider another project (started in 1993!) and came across the Doband wrapped around the post-its on which I had taken notes. This one might turn out to be a book.

Here goes!
